A dash in the Cities column means no city in that country currently holds a pool of its own, so targeting there works at country level. Carrier and ISP breakdown per country is available in the dashboard after sign-up.

How we count IPs, cities and networks

Numbers on proxy sites are famously slippery, so here is what the three figures mean.

A city counts only when it holds a pool of its own. One or two stray addresses in a town do not make it a targetable location, so they are left out. That is why a country can carry thousands of proxy IP addresses and still show a modest city count.

Every figure is rounded down and marked with a plus, because the pool moves hour by hour as devices come online and drop off. "Data as of August 2026" means these numbers were taken on that date and are refreshed quarterly, not in real time.

The ISP count is the number of distinct networks carrying addresses in a country. It will not add up neatly to the pool size, because some addresses are not attributed to a specific network, and an honest count beats an invented attribution.

For the live picture the dashboard is the authority: open your account and the current list, filtered by country, city, type and proxy score, is the first thing you see.

Where the pool is deepest

In North America, the United States is far and away the largest pool at INSOCKS: 23,000+ addresses across more than 430 cities, which is the only place where city targeting works down to secondary metros. Canada follows with 2,900+ IPs across 70+ cities, and it is the most evenly distributed pool we run after the US, with Montreal ahead of Toronto.

Europe carries the widest spread of proxy countries. France is the second largest single pool anywhere in the network with 4,500+ addresses, Germany offers the most balanced city coverage on the continent, and the United Kingdom is built on carrier spread rather than city depth. Italy, Spain and Poland follow, and a dozen smaller European pools sit behind them for country-level work.

In Asia and the Pacific, Japan is the market where a local exit changes the most, because Japanese sites routinely gate their domestic catalogue on the visitor's IP. Australia carries a mid-sized pool with an unusually wide carrier mix, and India, Turkey and Vietnam are available at country level from the dashboard.

Matching a location to the job you need it for

Choosing a location proxy depends less on the flag than on what the pool has to support. The right country proxy for price research is not the right one for a single localization check, so this is the short version of how we would pick.

City targeting: where it works and where it does not

City targeting only means something when the city holds its own addresses, and that is true in four of our twenty-two countries: the United States, Canada, France and Germany. There the largest metros hold hundreds of IPs each and a city-level job runs without babysitting.

Everywhere else the honest answer is country level. The United Kingdom, Spain, Japan and the mid-sized European pools do list cities, but the volume behind each is measured in tens rather than hundreds: fine for a spot check, unreliable for a job that runs for days. Rather than promise city targeting everywhere, the table shows the city count per country so you can judge before you commit to a proxy country.

What you can buy in each location

The same four types are available in every location. What changes between countries is how much of each type the pool holds, which is visible in the dashboard.

Struck-through UDP means the protocol is not available on that type. Mobile IPs sit behind carrier-grade NAT, which is why UDP is off there and on everywhere else.

If the country you need is not on the list

The list grows, but it grows in one direction only: a country appears here when there are real addresses on real networks behind it, not because it would round out the map. We would rather run twenty-two countries we can stand behind than sixty with a handful of addresses each.

If you need a location that is not listed, send us a ticket from your account or message support and say which country and roughly what volume. Those requests are logged and they genuinely feed into what gets added next, because expanding into a market nobody asked for is wasted capacity.

Frequently asked questions

How many countries can I buy proxies in?

Twenty-two, listed in full in the table above. That covers North America, most of western and central Europe, and a set of locations in Asia, the Pacific and Latin America. Seven of them have a detailed page of their own; the remaining fifteen are selected directly in the dashboard.

How do I check the current number of IPs in a country?

Open your account and filter the proxy list by country. That view is live and it is the only figure we treat as authoritative. Everything on this page is a snapshot taken in August 2026 and rounded down, refreshed quarterly, so it will usually sit slightly below what you actually see.

Can I choose a specific city?

In the United States, Canada, France and Germany, yes, and comfortably so. In the other countries you can select a city but the pool behind it is small, so for anything running longer than a spot check a country proxy is the steadier choice. The Cities column above tells you which situation you are in.

Is UDP available in every location?

UDP is available on residential, ISP, static and datacenter IPs in every country we cover. It is not available on mobile IPs anywhere, because mobile carriers put subscribers behind carrier-grade NAT. Remote DNS works on all types and in all locations, which stops lookups leaking outside the tunnel.

What if the country I need is missing?

Send a ticket from your account with the country and the volume you need. Requests are logged and taken into account when the network expands. We do not publish timelines for new locations, because a pool either exists or it does not, and announcing one before it does would be a disservice.
